2020 San Diego Comic-Con Canceled

Booooo.  We are sad to tell you that it has been officially announced that 2020 SDCC has been canceled.  Perhaps it is no surprise to you, but it is still a bummer.  This is the first time in the 50-year history of Comic Con that it has been canceled. If you bought a 2020 badge, you will hear from the organizers in the next week via email; you will be able to either cancel your badge for a refund or transfer it to the 2021 Comic Con.

Organizers decided to cancel following an April 14  press conference by California Governor Gavin Newsom in which he said that “large-scale events that bring in hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of strangers,” are “not in the cards” for the foreseeable future.  Comic-Con brings approximately 130,000 participants to the San Diego area.

The dates for the 2021 Comic-Con are set for July 22-25, 2021.
