50 Cent to Collaborate with Starz to Produce ‘Black Mafia Family’


Curtis Jackson also known as the rapper 50 Cent is collaborating with Starz at producing another series.

Black Mafia Family, a story about two brothers who rose from poverty has been greenlighted by the cable. Randy Huggins (Criminal Minds) will pen the script.

50 Cent produced “Power,” he will also produce the spinoff set in the same verse which include “Power Book II: Ghost,” “Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” “Power Book IV: Influence” and “Power Book V: Force.”

“Black Mafia Family” is inspired by the true story of two brothers who rose from the decaying streets of southwest Detroit in the late 1980’s and gave birth to one of the most influential crime families in this country. Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory’s charismatic leadership, combined with Terry “Southwest T” Flenory’s business acumen allows and the duo to take their vision beyond the drug trade and into the world of Hip Hop.
