Variety is reporting that actress Chloe Moretz is set to star in the film adaptation of the YA Novel If I Stay by author Gayle Forman. Director RJ Cutler is in talks to direct.
Based on Gayle Forman’s 2009 novel, “If I Stay” revolves around the relationship between a femme classical musician and her indie rock-star boyfriend.
Cutler, who helmed “The September Issue,” is shepherding the ABC drama “Nashville” as an exec producer for Lionsgate, where he has an overall TV deal. He recently debuted political doc “The World According to Dick Cheney” at the Sundance Film Festival.
