Deadline reported, AMC has officially ordered a 10-episode series for NOS4A2.
It’s based from the supernatural horror novel of the same title by Joe Hill. Michael Eisner from Tornante Television will act as the showrunner.
You can read about the details of the deal below:
NOS4A2, which will debut in 2019, was one of three drama projects AMC opened writers rooms for last summer under the network’s “scripts-to-series” development model, which involves the writing of multiple scripts for a series order consideration. NOS4A2 had long been considered the frontrunner while no final decision has been made on the fate of the other two, Pandora and Silent History. Current AMC series that have come out of the “scripts-to-series” model include The Son and the upcoming Dietland, and Lodge 49.
NOS4A2 introduces Vic McQueen, a young, working class artist who discovers she has a supernatural ability to track the seemingly immortal Charlie Manx. Manx feeds off the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – a twisted Christmas Village of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas day and unhappiness is against the law. Vic must strive to defeat Manx and rescue his victims – without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.
