Amy Sedaris To Provide Voice Of New Character In THE LION KING

Amy Sedaris (At Home With Amy Sedaris) will provide a voice to a brand new character in Disney’s Live Action remake of The Lion King.

Sedaris will play an elephant shrew — so named for long noses that resemble elephant trunks, the tiny mammal is native to Africa and known for its top speed. She joins a cast that includes Donald Glover, Beyonce, James Earl Jones, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, and Alfre Woodard.

The film will be directed by Jon Favreau and judging from the recently released trailer below which stick closely to the original 1994 animated film.

Favreau and Sedaris previously worked together on his 2014 food-truck drama Chef. She currently stars on the TruTV series At Home With Amy Sedaris, a sketch series for which she serves as co-creator, executive producer, and star.
