Cate Blanchett, Mark Ruffalo, and many more join Thor: Ragnarok!
Of Marvel‘s standalone franchises, even the most diehard of fans would probably agree that “Thor” has been the least rewarding. I’d argue there’s nothing across the first film or “Thor: The Dark World” that matches the best moments in either the “Iron Man” or “Captain America” films, but I have to admit, the cast for “Thor: Ragnarok” is looking mighty impressive.
Marvel has confirmed Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, and Mark Ruffalo will be joining Chris Hemsworth in the movie, which will be directed by Taika Waititi. The studio reveals that Thompson will be playing Valkyrie, with Urban set to play baddie Skurge, Goldblum as Grandmaster, and Blanchett playing Hela, which Marvel describes as a “powerful new villain.”
“Thor: Ragnarok” opens on November 3, 2017.
