Variety reports, CBS ordered a series for ‘Doubt’ starring by Katherine Heigl. The synopsis of the show tells “a charismatic defense lawyer played by Heigl is starting to fall in love with her client, who may or may not be guilty of a crime. You can read the full details below:
“Doubt” was originally developed for the 2015-2016 season, but the pilot was never ordered to series and instead was re-developed and re-shot for this season. The first iteration starred KaDee Strickland and Teddy Sears, who have since been replaced with Heigl and Steven Pasquale. Aside from those recasts, most of the supporting cast remained on board. Laverne Cox was always set to co-star.
“Doubt” brings Heigl back to TV as a series regular. After many years on “Grey”s Anatomy,” she toplined NBC’s short-lived political drama “State of Affairs,” which was cancelled after one season. Heigl reunites with Phelan and Rater on the project, as they worked together on “Grey’s.”
