CBS Orders Six Shows To Series For 2016-17


CBS has announced series orders for a number of new comedies and dramas.


At the top of the list we have a remake for Macgyver starring Lucas Till who joins a clandestine agency to prevent disasters using his unique problem solving skills. The original was a huge hit for CBS but we will see how a new generation looks at it.

Bull features the return of Michael Weatherly who left NCIS at the end of the current season, he will play Dr. Bull the head of a trial consulting service and based loosely on the early days Dr. Phil McGraw. The Great Indoors enters on an adventure reporter (Joel McHale) who must adapt to the times when he becomes the boss to a group of millennials in the digital department of the magazine.

Man With a Plan stars Matt LeBlanc, the multicamera comedy centers on a contractor (LeBlanc) who learns that raising his kids is more challenging than expected when his wife goes back to work. Training Day is a reboot of the film that starred Ethan Hawke and Denzel Washington.

Pure Genius a young Silicon Valley tech titan (Augustus Prew) who enlists a veteran surgeon (Dermot Mulroney) with a controversial past in starting a hospital with a cutting-edge, “new school” approach to medicine is said to have tested extremely well.
