Chris Messina Cast as The Male Lead of HBO’s Drama Series ‘Sharp Objects’

Deadline reported, Chris Messina has been cast as the male lead of HBO’s drama series Sharp Objects. He’s set to star as opposite Amy Adams.

Messina will play Detective Richard Willis, who was sent to investigate the murder of the young girl. He’ll there meet the character of Adams. Based on the best selling book of Gillian Flynn, the script is written by Marti Noxon while it’s directed by Jean Marc Vallée.

As of right now, HBO hasn’t slated a pilot date for Sharp Objects.
