The nominations for the 68th annual Emmy awards have been announced and no less than 4 of them are also past recipients of Tony awards! A big congratulations goes to:
Bryan Cranston nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie is a past winner of a Tony award for portrayal of Lyndon B. Johnson in the play All the Way.
Audra McDonald was nominated for a Tony this year for Shuffle Along, and now she is nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill.
Tony award winner, Viola Davis, is nominated for an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for How to Get Away With Murder.
And Lily Tomlin, who won a Special Tony Award, is nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on Netflix’s, Grace and Frankie.
