Jennifer Johnson and Sue Chung team up for an untitled revenge drama on the CW. Check out the news below!
Lost alumna Jennifer Johnson has re-teamed with rising young writer Sue Chung for an untitled drama project (aka Furious), which has been set up at the CW. Written by Chung, the drama centers on a trio of women who work outside the law to deliver justice against those who evade punishment in the legal system. At the same time, they seek personal revenge against the people responsible for destroying their own lives. Chung and Johnson executive produce for Warner Bros TV.
Chung first came on the primetime development scene two seasons ago with her spec script Allegiance (not related to the NBC Cold War spy drama of the same name). She had graduated from Harvard a couple of years before and had worked as a news editor for various Time Inc. magazines in Manhattan while completing the Harvardwood Writers Program.Allegiance, about a young female FBI agent pursuing her domestic terrorist mother, was hotly pursued by producers. Ultimately, the drama landed at ABC as a put pilot, with Chris Morgan and Les Wiseman executive producing and Johnson executive producing and showrunning. Since then, Chung has staffed on Gotham and Agent Carter. She is repped by ICM Partners, Benderspink and Morris Yorn.
