From fast cars to family drama, passion for work, and friends who fight for each other, Ford v Ferrari has something for everyone. Starring Matt Damon as American automotive designer Carroll Shelby and Christian Bale as fearless British race car driver Ken Miles, the film brings to life the real 24 Hours of Le Mans race from 1966, when these two men went up against the laws of physics and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary vehicle for the Ford Motor Co. to take on the race cars of Enzo Ferrari. Hollywood News Source attended an exciting event for the home entertainment release of the film at Carroll Shelby Enterprises Inc. in Gardena, CA for a classic car rally and more fun.
Before we show you an inside look at the event, be sure to watch our interview with stunt driver Jeff Bucknum, who is also a former race car driver and has competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race himself. Jeff’s father, Ronnie Bucknum, is even portrayed Ford v Ferrari. Jeff offered some very interesting insights about his experience during filming, how some of the riveting race scenes came to life, and what he wants people to know about racing as a profession.

Now that you’re revved up and ready for more racing fun, take a look inside the Ford v Ferrari release car rally. It was so exciting to see Carroll Shelby Enterprises Inc. – yes, that’s the same Carroll Shelby from the film – including a recreation of Shelby’s office.
There were also countless amazing cars to explore, including several that were featured in Ford v Ferrari. It’s hard to choose a favorite, since they were all so different, but the Joker car stood out for its unique design, as did the orange and blue car for its striking flair.
I don’t know about you, but we’re ready to hit the road – or maybe take a night in to watch Ford v Ferrari. We loved the film – particularly the race scenes, which you can’t help but get caught up in. Let us know what you think on Twitter or Instagram!
Ford v Ferrari is available now on Digital, 4K, Blu-ray and DVD.
