Issa Rae’s “Insecure” Renewed for Fifth Season

HBO has given the green light to a fifth season for Issa Rae’s comedy, “Insecure.”  The show’s fourth season recently began airing, so this will be good news for fans of the show.

The show follows Issa Dee (played by Rae) and her best friend, Molly (Yvonne Orji) as they navigate being single in Los Angeles.  Rae says season 4 is showing the characters “leveling up” as they start new ventures and prepare for the next phase of their lives.

Insecure was created by Rae & Larry Wilmore; executive produced by Issa Rae, Prentice Penny, Melina Matsoukas, Michael Rotenberg, Dave Becky, Jonathan Berry, Amy Aniobi and Jim Kleverweis.
