Jamie Lee Curtis is set to return to the franchise that made her famous as she has been cast in the upcoming Halloween reboot.
Laurie Strode (Curtis) will have a final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.
The original “Halloween” was directed by Carpenter from his own script about Myers as he stalks and kills teenage babysitters on Halloween night. The film begins with six-year-old Michael killing his teenage sister on Halloween in 1963; he escapes 15 years later from a sanitarium and stalks Strode and her friends as they babysit.
Jamie Lee Curtis made the announcement on her Twitter.
“Same porch. Same clothes. Same issues. 40 years later. Headed back to Haddonfield one last time for Halloween. Release date 10/19/18.” pic.twitter.com/IvptiZctyw
