Jennifer Lawrence has been cast to play Fidel Castro’s lover in a new film by American Hustle writer. Check out the news below!

THR reports Lawrence will play Fidel Castro’s Marita Lorenz in “Marita.” The movie comes from the pen of “American Hustle” scribe Eric Warren Singer, who researched the life of Lorenz, who had an affair with Castro at the age of 19, became pregnant, had an abortion, and joined the anti-Communist movement in the U.S. after leaving Cuba. (Oh, she also claims to be have been involved in JFK’s assassination). After putting it together, Singer brought the movie to Lawrence, and they landed a deal at Sony, who will be gearing up to release the actress’s sci-fi effort “Passengers” later this year.
