Katherine Langford to Star in Film Adaptation of YA Novel ‘Spontaneous’ by Aaron Starmer


Deadline reported, Katherine Langford has been cast as the female lead of Spontaneous. 

It’s the film adaptation of a YA novel of the same name by Aaron Starmer.

Langford will play Mara Carlyle, the narrator of the story who’s simply trying to make it through her senior’s graduation while all of her classmates poop like a balloon. Brian Duffield is attached to direct and write the script.

Awesomeness Films will produce under  Jurassic Party Productions. Langford is a Golden Globe nominee for her role as Hannah Baker in Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why.

Spontaneous was originally published in August 2016 by Dutton Books for Young Readers.
