LUCIFER Gets Full Episode Order For Season 2

After a strong start to the sophomore season Fox have decided to extend Lucifer’s episode count by 9 to a full 22 episode season.

Fox entertainment president David Madden had this to say about the decision:

Lucifer continues to deliver, with great blasts of dark humor and ambitious storytelling. The show has turned out to be a true wicked pleasure, the perfect companion to Gotham, and we couldn’t be more pleased to order these nine additional episodes.”

Lucifer is averaging 8 million multi-platform viewers per episode this season and ratings wise is on par with partnered show Gotham.

Based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg for Vertigo, from DC Entertainment, Lucifer tells the story of Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), the bored and unhappy Lord of Hell who abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles, where he has teamed up with LAPD detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) to take down criminals. Kevin Alejandro, DB Woodside, Tricia Helfer, Lesley-Ann Brandt and Scarlett Estevez co-star.
