CBS is committing to three more of its original series.
The network on Monday handed out full-season orders to first-year comedies Man With a Plan and The Great Indoors, while also ordering three more episodes of sophomore medical drama Code Black.
The order brings the comedies to 19 episodes each, while bringing Code Black to 16. Matt LeBlanc’s Man With a Plan and Joel McHale starrer TheGreat Indoors both launched in late October, after Thursday Night Football wrapped on CBS, which may explain why the two received orders for six more episodes rather than the traditional nine.
Airing behind the long-running hit The Big Bang Theory, The Great Indoors currently ranks as the No. 2 new comedy of the 2016-17 season with a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49. Man With a Plan, which has been paired with Kevin James’ rookie sitcom Kevin Can Wait, is averaging a 1.5 rating.
