Michael Cimino Cast as the Lead of Disney+ Adaptation of ‘Love, Simon’

Annabelle Comes Home actor Michael Cimino has been cast as the lead of Disney+ upcoming seres ‘Love, Simon.’

Love, Simon is based on the 2018 movie of the same and Becky Albertali’s YA novel ‘Simon vs. The Homosapiens Agenda’. 

Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger (This Is Us) who also wrote the movie will act as an EP and writer of the half-hour series. The production for Love, Simon will start this month. 

Set in the world of the film, the series follows Victor (Cimino), a new student at Creekwood High School on his own journey of self-discovery, facing challenges at home, adjusting to a new city, and struggling with his sexual orientation. When it all seems too much, he reaches out to Simon to help him navigate the ups and downs of high school.

Nick Roinson, who starred on the Love, Simon film, will serve as a producer and narrator of the series.
