Unfortunately for some, there are a lot of NBC shows that won’t be coming back in the Fall or beyond for that matter and we have the details.
Comedies Telenovela and Undateable have been cancelled. Telenovela was a freshman comedy with a quirky premise being set behind the scenes of a popular LA based Spanish language soap opera and boasting the star power of Eva Longoria. Unfortunately the ratings were mediocre at best resulting in cancellation.
Undateable lasted for three seasons after a surprise initial renewal but even the draw of live shows couldn’t keep enough interest for NBC to spare it from the axe.
Crowded starring Carrie Preston and Patrick Warburton has been cancelled after its first season. The show examines what happens when parents looking forward to their empty nest suddenly find their grown up daughters back at home.
Heartbeat was a medical drama starring Melissa George as a world renowned heart transplant surgeon unfortunately the midseason show never really took hold, it joins fellow freshman Game of Silence a mystery around five people haunted by their past.
The final note is the sad demise of The Mysteries Of Laura starring Debra Messing after two seasons. It was a big hit with the fans with solid ratings but it had been living on borrowed time since its first renewal.
