NBC has cancelled three of its freshman shows, Abby’s, The Enemy Within and The Village.

Abby’s starred Natalie Morales in the title role, as a woman who ran a bar in her backyard. The series has only aired seven episodes to date is notable for having Morales as the first-ever female Cuban lead in the format.

The Enemy Within starred Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter) and Morris Chestnut. Against every fibre of his being but with nowhere else to turn, FBI Agent Will Keaton (Chestnut) enlisted Shepherd (Carpenter) to help track down a fiercely dangerous and elusive criminal she knew all too well. While Shepherd and Keaton had different motivations for bringing the enemy to justice, they both knew that to catch a spy they must think like one.

“The Village” revolved around the characters who lived in an apartment building in New York. Bonded deeper than average neighbours, they created a “found family” that helped each other through relationship struggles, cancer diagnoses and returns from war.

Did you watch any of these recently departed shows on NBC?
