Ryan Reynolds and his Massive Effort are developing a film based on the Clue board game.
Reynolds recently signed a three year deal with Fox and this is one of the first projects, it is currently being envisaged as a star vehicle for the Deadpool star. The Deadpool writing team of Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will pen the script. Clue is board game designed in 1949 and consists of a contest to determine who of six suspects murdered the game’s victim, where the crime took place, and which weapon was used. Each player assumes the role of one of the six suspects, and attempts to deduce.
There was a previous film adaption in 1985 a comedy/mystery starring Eileen Brennan, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Mull, and Lesley Ann Warren.
Reynolds will soon be seen in Deadpool 2 which is set to bow in May 18, 2018.
