Showtime are calling it quits on Masters of Sex the period drama showing the US sexual revolution of the 50s and 60s that starred Lizzy Caplan and Michael Sheen.
“Masters of Sex was a beautifully written and acted exploration of America’s changing sexual mores. We are incredibly proud to have shared the story of Masters and Johnson for four critically acclaimed seasons. The series will remain available across our platforms where new viewers can discover it for years to come.”
That was the official statement released by Showtime who along with the production team feel that the show has told a complete story as of the end of Season 4 which wrapped in November. The last season of the show was averaging 800,000 viewers per episode which was a loss of 1.2 million viewers from its lead in Ray Donovan.
