Todd McFarlane’s Spawn is set for new movie adaption and has set Jamie Foxx as the star.
The creator McFarlane is set to adapt the material himself, writing and directing the new project. Blumhouse productions is producing. Spawn debuted in 1992, the comics followed a human-turned-Hellspawn who possesses superhuman strength and speed, and near immortality. Spawn also has the ability to teleport, shapeshift, and heal. It was one of the most popular comics of the 90s and lead to a 1997 film starring Michael Jai White. HBO ran an animated TV adaption for 18 episodes.
Foxx will soon be seen in Robin Hood: Origins and All Star Weekend which he also directed.
