The path of the Han Solo film has certainly not been a smooth one the latest fallout being that Michael K Williams (The Wire) role has been entirely cut.
As a direct results of the reshoots and change in director Williams character had to cut because the actor had already booked and started on his next project after finishing his initial filming on the Han Solo film.
Reshoots began in June after Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were let go and replaced by Ron Howard, and they are expected to run into the fall. Williams’ role in The Red Sea Diving Resort, which also stars Chris Evans, is significant and made it impossible for him to balance the schedules of both shoots.
The film is set for release on May 25 2018 and stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo with Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Joonas Suotamo co-starring.
