Suki Waterhouse is the lead for Bittersweet Symphony!
Production has wrapped on “Bittersweet Symphony,” a British film with Suki Waterhouse (“Pride and Prejudice and Zombies”) starring as a musician who has just completed her first soundtrack to a Hollywood feature and who finds her personal life getting complicated.
Poppy Delevingne (“Kingsman: The Golden Circle”), Craig Roberts (“Submarine”), Richard Elis (Benny & Jolene), Griffin Dunne (“Dallas Buyers Club”) and Jennifer Grey (“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off“) also star in the movie, which was shot in Wales and was partly improvised. The film follows Waterhouse’s character, Iris Evans, as she gets her big break, but as she also has to deal with her dying mother and a difficult ex-boyfriend.
Writer and director Jamie Adams is behind the project, which is the third of his semi-scripted works completed in the last 12 months after “Songbird” and “Wild Honey Pie.” He works with the talent pre-shoot to create most of the dialogue in the films.
