The 1975 just can’t get enough of the touring lifestyle and we here at Hollywood News Source are just fine with that! The British band already completed one US tour this year which included several festivals like Coachella. Now, after announcing both an Australian tour and a UK tour for December, the band has just released dates for their upcoming North American tour!
The band, composed of high school friends Matty Healy (lead singer), Adam Hahn (lead guitar), Ross MacDonald (bass) and George Daniel (drums), have a rabid fan base as evidenced by the recent release of a music video to their single “Somebody Else,” from their sophomore album “I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it.”
This latest video garnered one million views in a single day (not too shabby)! The band has always been vocal about wanting to equally return their fandom’s emotional investment, so with that massive a reaction to their video and body of work in general, we are not at all surprised that the band is once again filling their calendar with new tour dates. Via their mailing list announcement, it also appears that these shows will be quite novel for the band:
The shows will form part of a series of concerts that will be toured worldwide, with expanded visuals and a brand new set list including songs that have never been played live. The 1975’s constantly evolving performance will fuse art and technology to create a unique live experience.
A limited ticket pre-sale will start on Wednesday, July 27th (10AM local time) with tickets going on general sale Friday, July 29th (10AM local time), apart from the Champaign show for which tickets will go on sale August 26th. Be sure to check and see when The 1975 will be playing near you! Also, don’t forget that you can follow the band via Facebook and Twitter. You can also sign-on to their mailing list and continue to follow HNS for more about The 1975 in the future!
