Thomas Mann has been cast in Disney’s live-action adaptation of “Lady and the Tramp.”

Mann is set to play Jim Dear, the owner of Lady. He’s joining Kiersey Clemons, who’s playing Darling, the wife of Mann’s character; Tessa Thompson who’s going to voice Lady and Justin Theroux who’ll be Tramp.

As reported by Variety, like Disney’s previous live-action adaptation of classic movies, most of the cast will be a CGI characters.

If you haven’t watched this classic Disney animation, you can read the premise of the film below:

“Lady and the Tramp” tells the story of an American Cocker Spaniel named Lady who lives with an upper-middle-class family, but is set astray when the family has a baby. Lady ends up meeting a mongrel known as the Tramp on the streets. They embark on a romantic journey and eventually fall in love.

Dear was the human owner who decided to get rid of Lady after the birth of their child.”

Charlie Bean is attached to direct the film from the script of Andrew Bujalski.

Lady and the Tramp is expected to be released on 2019 at Disney’s premium streaming service.
