TV Land announced a slew of new shows and acquisitions at its upfronts this week.
The network, which is owned by Viacom, has announced a deal with Darren Star (Sex And The City, Younger).
There are two pilots on order one described as a remake of The First Wives Club, the 1996 comedy film. The remake will be set in modern day San Francisco and be set around classmates from the 1990s who reconnect after the death of a friend. The second pilot is based on the life of Real Housewives’ Kyle Richards and will be set in 1970s and is described as a black comedy.
TV Land renewed Younger for a third season while Teachers has been renewed for a second season of 20 episodes.
