Will Lucas Till, Jeremy Irvine or Alex Pettyfer Obtain Lead Role in ‘Divergent’

The actor to obtain the coveted lead role of Four in the upcoming film Divergent has been a much debated conversation among fans. According to Variety, actors Lucas Till, Jeremy Irvine and Alex Pettyfer are all being considered for the role. What do you think of these possibilities? Do any of them seem a good fit to play Four?

Summit is getting closer to finding its male lead for “Divergent” opposite Shailene Woodley, considered one of the more sought-after roles for a young actor.

Sources tell Variety that Lucas Till, Jeremy Irvine and Alex Pettyfer will test for the role later this week. Summit previously tested Till, Brenton Thwaites, Luke Bracey and Jack Reynor in November.

Veronica Roth’s young-adult novel, acquired by Summit in March 2011, is the first of a planned trilogy. The story has a “Hunger Games”-like teen-on-teen violence in a futuristic setting and follows 16-year-old Beatrice Prior, who Woodley is set to play.

Neil Burger will helm with Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher producing through their Red Wagon banner. Evan Daugherty will pen the script.
